The cable is functional, not an original Playstation cable, they have a square and round keyed plug design to be inserted only one way, this cable has both round and is still usable. I guess it really doesn't matter which way it is inserted as the device still functioned.
After losing my original PS2 power cord in my move, I ordered one from this kind user and it came within a few days. It works beautifully and I would gladly order from this person again.
Found this on amazon for nothing. Kids happy ever since. My kids couldn't play their game because, somehow, they lost their power cord. One of the best things I've ever found on the internet.
